Pal-Play Live 2.3.8

No permission to download
Hi

First of all, thank you for creating Pal-Play Live. I really enjoy using it in my Paltalk room.

I would like to suggest an improvement for the Word Scramble game.

At the moment, the answer must be typed exactly as it is stored. This can be difficult in international rooms because many users have different keyboard layouts and cannot easily type certain special characters.

For example:

  • Turkish: kırmızı / kirmizi
  • Turkish: gökyüzü / gokyuzu
  • German: Käse / Kaese
  • German: Straße / Strasse
  • Spanish: corazón / corazon
  • Spanish: español / espanol
  • French: français / francais
  • Swedish: Malmö / Malmo
Currently, if the stored answer is "kırmızı", a player who types "kirmizi" is marked wrong, even though the answer is clearly correct. The same issue affects many other languages.

It would be great if Word Scramble could support one of the following options:

  1. Multiple accepted answers, for example: kırmızı|kirmizi Käse|Kaese Straße|Strasse
  2. Automatic character normalization, where letters such as:ä, ö, ü, ß, ç, ğ, ı, ş, á, é, í, ó, ú, ñcan be matched to their basic equivalents when checking answers.
This would make Word Scramble much more user-friendly for international and multilingual Paltalk rooms.

Thank you for considering this suggestion, and thank you again for your work on Pal-Play Live.

Best regards.

I love getting feedback on my programs and improving them.
I will take your ideas and implement them.

Thank you for the feedback and look forward to a update soon.
I am almost finished with a major update to all my paltalk programs that my research has led me to making them all much more reliable and professional, it has taken me weeks of research, but i am now very close to finishing.

Thank you for your quick reply and for considering my suggestion.

Just one small additional note: the same issue could also apply to Trivia questions, not only Word Scramble.

Thank you again, and I am looking forward to the update! 😊

RedAdmin updated Pal-Play Live with a new update entry:

I believe we have safely and professionally addressed the language issues with this program.
I researched several microsoft language applications and implemented them into the program neatly to maintain a lightweight yet workable feature that should now sort language problems.

If you experience any issues please let me know.
I also implemented all of the new behavior routines i found regarding the way paltalk operates, so the way the games behave and the responsiveness should be smoother and more reliable from now on.
I will be updating all of my current programs here shortly with these same measures to make them all have this new knowledge i recently discovered.

Enjoy

Thank you again for implementing the multiple-answer support. It works very well and solves the special-character issue nicely.

I have a couple of additional suggestions.

Some system messages are still hardcoded in English and cannot be customized or translated.

Examples:

reached LEVEL 2! Total XP: 20

💰🚨 ROOM JACKPOT ROUND! 182 POINTS! First player to type !grab wins the entire pot!

💰 Jackpot round expired — nobody grabbed it. The pot keeps growing!

It would be great if room owners could customize or translate these messages.

Another suggestion is to allow a configurable delay between Trivia and Word Scramble questions. In many rooms, people are not only playing games but also having conversations. When questions appear one after another too quickly, it can interrupt the normal chat flow.

It would be helpful if room owners could choose the delay between questions, for example 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, or any custom value.

Thank you again for all your hard work and for listening to user feedback.

This is exactly the type of feedback i need.
Real users making it better.

Thank you for the input, I will definitely implement these changes.
